Scholastic Book Fair

Cumberland Scholastic Book Fair: The Scholastic Book Fair (see flier) opens THIS, Friday, October 25th and runs through NEXT Wednesday, October 30th in conjunction with Parent-Teacher Conferences.  We still need a few volunteers to step forward, especially with setting-up this Thursday from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm, staffing the book fair when students visit their class, and packing-up from 8-9 PM next Wednesday evening.  Many hands make light work! Dates to help run or shop at the Book Fair:

Friday 10/25- 8:30 am-5:30 pm

Monday 10/28- 8:30 am-4:00 pm

Tuesday 10/29- 8:30 am-4:00 pm

Wednesday 10/30- 8:30 am-11:30 am and 4:00 pm-8:00 pm

Help Pack Up the Book Fair on Wednesday 10/30 from 8:00 pm- 9:00 pm: Packing up is super easy -- just putting books in boxes, closing our big bookcases, and taking down tables -- the more the merrier!

As in the past, 5K through 5th grade students will visit the book fair during the day with their class. Students in 4K are welcome to stop by the book fair before or after their school day to shop with a parent/guardian.

The Scholastic eWallet is back and a wonderful tool to make book fair shopping and payments easier for your student if you choose not to send them with cash. Use the link on our book fair webpage to create an “eWallet” for your child. Please create a separate account for each child in your family and identify his/her homeroom teacher.  TIP: Please consider adding an extra $1 to cover the sales tax.  Visit our school’s book fair website to create your eWallet!

Fall into Fitness Fundraiser, Let’s Build a New Playground!

We are in the final week of our Fall into Fitness Fundraiser, and we’re close to reaching our goal! There is still time to participate! If you haven’t registered your child yet, visit getmovinfundhub.com and use the School Identifier Code: 62c827bc6b989.

Once registered, complete your child’s webpage, make donations using the red “donate” button, and share with friends and family to help us raise the final funds. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward building a brand-new playground for our school and will also help fund other exciting school events and resources throughout the school year!

The grand finale will be our Fun Run on October 25^th at 3:00 pm on Cumberland’s back lawn where students will celebrate their fitness and fundraising efforts by running with their grade-level. Please note that dismissal for K4-1^st graders will still take place in the front, and parents/guardians will need to bring their children to the back field to join the event. Let’s give it our all in this last week and finish strong! Check out our Run Guide for more details, and let’s make this final week count!
